“Migration” Original painting

Original painting by Alona Petliarska

“The stork is a creature of ancient promise.”

A bird that travels thousands of miles to return to the same nest, year after year. In this work, that promise is shattered. Migration explores the reality of forced displacement, where the instinct to return is met with the finality of destruction. The contrast between the graceful movement of the stork and the chaotic fire behind it is a silent witness to a home that can never be reclaimed. Painted in oil on canvas.
