“Kitsune Vol.1 — The Moon Guardian” Original painting

Original painting by Alona Petliarska

45 × 62 cm · 2025 · Framed

From the Kitsune series

“She belongs to the night that remembers everything.”

In Japanese mythology, the kitsune is a fox spirit of extraordinary intelligence and transformative power. The Moon Guardian is her most ancient incarnation — patient, knowing, luminous in darkness. She moves between worlds as effortlessly as moonlight moves through water. This painting is about the part of us that is most alive when the world goes quiet — the instinct that speaks before thought, the wisdom that lives below language.
