“Isa” Original painting

Original painting by Alona Petliarska

From the Internal Spectrum series

“She looks straight ahead. She always has.”

Isa. In Old Norse — ice, stillness, the pause before clarity. Isa is the soul of the Internal Spectrum series. The deep, monochromatic azure background acts as a vast ocean of reflection — those moments when we feel small, uncertain, or overwhelmed by the weight of our own thoughts. Yet Isa is not a portrait of defeat; she is a portrait of shared humanity.
